How P3 approaches the sourcing request
P3 first distinguishes an exact replacement from a performance-based requirement. An exact replacement is sourced against the verified identity and revision. A performance-based requirement is reviewed against the duty, connections, utilities, environment and buyer acceptance criteria.
Supplier responses can then be compared for technical compliance, exclusions, commercial terms, lead time and the service tail. An alternative is identified as an alternative and remains subject to buyer approval; it is not silently substituted for the requested item.

- Included accessories, interfaces and consumables
- Availability, manufacturing lead time and delivery basis
- Warranty, commissioning and support assumptions
- Certificates, manuals, drawings or test records included
Where installation, inspection, calibration, testing or commissioning is needed, that work should appear as an explicit scope with responsibilities and exclusions.
